Obama Elected 44th U.S. President

Democrat Barak Obama wrote his name indelibly into the pages of American history, engineering a social and political upheaval to become the country’s first black president elect of the United States of America over John Maccain, in a runaway victory.

Obama, a 47 year old Illinois senator and son of a white mother from Kansas and an African father from Kenya, mined a deep vein of national discontent, promising American hope and change throughout a nearly flawless 21-month campaign for the White House.

I am so happy that Barak Obama won the presidential election of the United Sates of America. I am really for him and admire him over and above his impressive academic, political, and moral qualifications to be the President of the United states. It was his guts, his impossible guts. The position he was seeking had for the past 219 years been accepted by 42 white Americas without a single exception not even temporarily and here he was, a black American now more respectfully called an African American- asking the white dominated American nation to break the respected tradition by making him the new leader, a black man for the first time in the White House. It was courageous more then it was presumptuous and incredible! I think he will be able to stand by his own motto that he will bring change not only in his country but in the world.

Honestly, I have no side in this election because I am not really familiar of what the 2 Presidential candidates did to their country. However, I am troubled of Obama winning because I heard form my friend that he will make all the TNTs legal in US; I am not really sure if this is true. Thats the only thing I am not in favor with because this will be unfair for some. I am also happy because the African_american people won't be discriminted like what usuallu happens. I think this will also be better because he is a neutral person; he sees everyone equally. I think the Philippines can be given support by him.

In my opinion, Obama really had the votes of the Americans because his political rival McCain is not that good compared to Obama. Obama really gave justice to his words and he was really believable. On the issue about Obama making all TNTs legal in the states is not 100% true. He is actually planning that all TNTs who did not commit any crimes or the like will be legal in the states. This is a good news for us Filipinos in some way. Obama, as a democrat leader, will give justice to the people who are and were discriminated. It is also an advantage for us Filipinos because he will be open to problems concerning the Philippines and other neighboring countries.

Although Mccain had political experience, his works were not particularly commendable. And even if Obama is generally a good man, there have been rumors spreading around that he dislikes the fact that call centers are based in the Philippines and will make it a point to transport this booming business in the United States. What may be good to the declining economy of the US, could be hazardous to ours. with the number of call center agents here in the Philippines, a lot of people will be left without jobs if these plans continue to push through

I've been silently rooting for Obama ever since the Democratic Presidential Elections. Silently because I'm not an American anyway. But him winning made me feel 2 things. 1) I was happy because such change can still be achievable and 2) I felt jealous because I really want an Obama for the Philippines

I think the winning of Obama is already change itself because it is first time for the black american to be a president of America. Though I don't know whether is he really good president for he just won the election, I expect him to do good work as a president of America and hope he can cope with the econimic crisis and give a solution for that. Anyway congratulation Obama for this winning of election.

I think Obama should give back through good work the support that the Americans gave him. He shouldn't fail the Americans because they placed him to maybe the highest government position in the world. I'm really not aware of the history of both Obama and McCain. All I know is that Obama is a newbie senator. Experience wise, McCain has the upper hand. We just have to wait till Obama takes his position and see what he will do for the USA.

Whenever I see Obama I have a feeling that he is true to his words. Maybe true to "change", it is something very new to see a black president in the white house. Compared to John Mccain it looks like he has a better and stronger platform. He is very confident and well spokent which will be able to lead the Unites States very well. Hopefully during the campaign trail will truly be his attitude when he runs the United States.

I think that Obama really deserve to be elected as the new president of the united states because he really worked hard for this position and he didn't let his color or ethnicity to get in the way however I would also like to give credit to McCain because he accepted his defeat as a real man by conceding.
