Philpost: Safe or Not?

Original Article: Philpost wasn't at fault
—HECTOR R.R. VILLANUEVA, postmaster general and CEO, Philippine Postal Corporation

-----------------------------------

The article is basically a reply to a complaint about lost mail.

Have you ever tried using Philpost to send packages and mail to your love ones? I did. And I never lost any mail from them. Even my payment for an item I bought online arrived there safe and sound. Maybe I'm just lucky or maybe Philpost improved. Not once did I experience the horror stories that I heard about Philpost turning your mail into scratch papers or philpost staff stealing mail. The Philpost staff in my area are really nice and approachable. And all mails have tracking numbers on it even if you can't track it via Philpost website, you can still track it using the destination country's local post office website.

I'm not saying that you should use Philpost regularly, I'm just saying that they can be trusted once in a while and they continue to improve. But if you're on a tight budget and want to send packages to your love ones, you may want to try using Philpost. It's cheap and safe... well at least for me it is.

No one knows what happens when we send mails. It is unusual to ask the receiever how the package looked like every time they receive it. In today's world there are plenty of way to relay messages like emails and cellular phones. Most of the time we are unsure if these are truly safe. Probably it is better to give important information personally.
