Those poor dogs. :| This is very inhumane. I thought dogs were mans best friend? So, you could eat your best friend now? :O [NYEH, sabaw. HAHA.] Moving on, I think they should do a better job to stop the trading of Dog Meat. Poor dogs. :(

Though some may think eating dog meat is kinda taboo for most people here in the Philippines and also the other countries there are really people who eat this kind of meat. It is a matter of culture I say so we can't just just generally say its inhuman because some ethnic group or just plain simple people really eat this kind of meat. We cannot just condemned them of their action just because they eat dog meat. It is a biased conclusion. Though I'm not stating nor implying that I side with the people who favor this kind of meat which would be traded in our market. I love dogs and I can't imagine myself eating one of these creatures unless they are the only available source of food in a specific situation were it is a matter of life and death. After all we are also animals that strive to survive.

Eh kayo na bahala dun kung gusto ninyong ma-ulol na parang aso pagkatapos ng anim hanggan sampung taon dahil sa rabies.
grabe nmn mga pilipino... ktangahan ang inaatupag hndi yung pggmit ng mga innate skills nila, pwed nmn sila mgimbento nga mga altenatives, hndi lng yung dog meat, kkhya nga ang gngwa nila, and i agree man's bestfriend nga ang mga dogs kya hndi sila karapat dapt na mging gnito
I agree...dogs shouldn't be eaten!!! Dogs should be treated well. I really pity the poor dogs...

Hmm is it me or did this people who want to dog meat forget about animal rights? Even though we are in a crisis there is no need for such brutality amongst animals especially the one's we treat as our pets.
Come on people think there are other alternatives than dog such as vegetables or even fish(cause as far as I know were not lacking in fish or are we??).

You can not blame them if they eat dog meat as a substitute for the meat we regularly eat since the prices in the market are already high. They are just looking for ways in order to survive. Survival of the fittest? Haha. Labo. :))
wala na kasing pambili ng mga karne at pork kaya kung anu na lng maisip nilang kainin yun at yun na kakainin. pati aso papatulan na para lng may makain.
Why can't dogs be eaten? Because they're man's bff? A COW CAN BE YOUR BESTFRIEND TOO! They're animals. They are meant to be eaten for us to survive! We eat fish, cow, pig, and chicken. Right? What's the diff? I think by eating dogs, stray dogs would decrease in number and our streets would be free of dog poop!
why would someone eat a dog? those people are dead crazy. i've seen shows on how they hurt the dogs and kill them. kawawa sobra yung mga aso. the dogs could not fight for themselves. Laws on animal rights must be strongly implemented. Don't you think so?
pitying dogs won't do you any good why not act yourself and do something about it instead of waiting for "them" whoever "them" is to act.

I believe that this is not necessary. Us Filipinos can survuve wthout eating dog meat since it's very rare to find such kind of meat in various restaurants, groceries, and markets. So why still urge? A lot of peope are concerned about this.

of course it such a crazy sound for you. but, in Korea we consider it as a culture.
actually most of the foreigners are shocked when they see the people who is eating dog meat in Korea, but after they have eaten it, they also like it.
please do not think the meat as your pet. they are just edibility as well as beef or pork or chicken.

I think this is a moral issue, and very subjective. There are cultures that don't think of dogs as their pets. To them, they're just another source of protein like chicken and pigs. It's not for us to impose our own ideas of morality on people.
