They're not just killing babies, they're also dumping them all over Metro Manila.
This month alone, at least four human fetuses were found abandoned in various places in the metropolis, one of them surreptiously given to a priest in Quiapo church while he was celebrating mass.
The Roman Church reiterates that "a person's life begins at the moment of conception." This however, is still logically debated and contradicted by scientists which holds that a fetus slowly forms a little human body but it is really just a "blob of tissue or blood" as soon as it comes into being, according to medical literature.
The advent of fast-paced lifestyle and technological dependence may have altered some people's moral and ethical values, which could explain the apparently rising number of adultery cases, illicit pregnancies, abortions and, yes, fetus-dumping incidents. These changes may be attributed to out difficulty to cope with the increasing demands of times.
Sometimes the changes come in highly ironic circumstances. For instance, right outside Quiapo church itself, one can't miss seeing the ubiquitous vendors selling herbal concoctions, from pain relievers to abortion kits. No wonder, Quiapo has gained the notoriety of having become what some people call "an abortionist hub" with the rampant selling of abortifacient drugs in the area.
Abortion is just plain selfishness, in the first place, it wasn't the baby's fault that you and your partner conceived. This is life, a life that has been entrusted under your care for you to nurture and develop. Life that has a future and something to learn, to experience. "Thou shalt not kill" as the Holy Bible echoes unto us. Be a Protector of Human Life.

Such immorality being done today. I am against abortion and I am not in favor of approving of such immorality being done today. It really makes me frustrated to know that some people really result to abortion as a solution to their problem. To think that our people are so faithful to our religion that they would do this immorality and disobey the teachings of their beliefs. I just hope God punishes those who did, done and will do this kind of action. And also I hope karma finds them. My condolences to the aborted babies/fetuses :(

These people who do things like these are not human. No creature especially a person deserves to be abbandonned. I am against abortion, this is what contraceptives are for. If the so called parents of these victims have no intention of keeping their offspring then they should use condoms. After all, that is what it is made for.
It's very sad how there are many irresponsible "parents". They could just avoid this by not having sex. They should "resist the urge" and be abstinent and only do it when they are married or something. It's unbelievable even though this country is a Catholic country, some people can still be careless about life and other aspects of things that are sins considering they are Catholic. It makes me very disappointed how people can be these days.
pao22pao, using condoms or contraceptive doesn't guarantee a 100% no pregnancy. i am also against the use of any artificial contraceptives, because it inhibits our role in this world, to grow and multiply, as the magisterium of the church says.
it's bad enough that they killed a baby, but dump them too? that is just sick. if they can't have a baby then they should have just practiced abstinence.
having an abstinence is so difficult for those who have an active sexual lifestyle. although the church objects the use of artificial contraceptives, i deem it quite necessary for our times, instead of millions of innocent lives being wasted every day.
but sometimes, we can not blame those, if i may use the term, nasty sluts and bitches, for aborting these innocent lives because of the shame that it might cause them due to our largely conservative thinking. but that is just plain selfish.

This is really just IMMORAL. First off, why abort? It man's own fault why this is happening. Similarly, the women cause their own failures too. They should know.
Not that this is happening, people should realize the mistake in this situation. If they choose to do so, why just leave them around the Metropolis? They can be brought to safer places (example, to someone or a designated place that really handles fetuses that who can manage). They're still human. What was done in this article basically shows the lack of respect of one person toward his neighbors. Also, violating the 8th commandment. We have no right in killing our neighbors.

It's sad knowing people kill babies to solve their problems but, in reality it just makes the problem even bigger. Studies have shown that majority of the mothers of these fetuses are teenage girls. They don't have any sense of pity to their child. It is also reported just today, July 31,2008 that there is also a fetus found on the cubicle of the c.r. It is said that the mother of the baby is a teenage girl. People nowadays don't know how to be disciplined. People should be mature and patient enough to wait for the sacrament of matriomony before doing the act of love. :D
Dapat kasi, hindi na pagbawalan ng simbahan ang paggamit ng contraceptives, dahil padami na ng padami ang populasyon ng Pilipinas, kahit na hindi 100% no pregnancy ang paggamit nito, at least mas bababa ang chansang mabuntis ang nanay at ang mga tao, ay tao lamang, hindi maiwasan ang pagpigil sa nararamdaman at biglang maisipang gawin. Dapat ay maging responsable din ang mga magulang na mabubuntis ng di oras, dahil ginawa nila ang kanilang ginawa, may pananagutan sila at sana makonsensya naman.

This is not a new issue here in our country or even in other nations. In my opinion the parents of those "babies" should be held responsible for the consequences of their own actions and wrongdoings. If in the first place they know that engaging in pre-marital sex is already unacceptable, then they should accept the consequences with dignity. They should have a sense of responsibility already because what they "did" was already unacceptable.
If the parents don't want to take responsibility of the baby, they could just let an orphanage to take care of the child instead of killing them. They do not have the right to end a life.

No one would really agree with abortion, but atleast when this act is being done, why cant they keep it discreet? I mean, throwing the fetus somewhere that can be found and shown by the mdeia. for sure we cannot stop it, its the descision of the lady, but if they would keep it low profile, it probably wouldnt be a big of an issue

so many times this has happened in the Philippines but really there isn't anyway to stop the people. i guess the best solution to minimize this problem is to just use a condom people! use a condom! i mean would it really hurt to spend on a stupid condom which san save you from sin? :) anyway, i guess the alternative would be to give birth to the baby and just put it up for adoption or give it to some who cares for babies. having an abortion isn't really that different from giving birth right? i mean it's all the same pain difference it you either give birth to a live baby or a dead one. :)
