While GMA's SONA this year is much more like a report of the past year's accomplishments, like the improvement of economy and Peso, from Php 56.50 down to as low as Php 40.20, can't help but notice that GMA even made a move to reduce the price of texting from one network to another from Php 1.00 - Php .50. Anyways, this year's SONA focuses on people whose lives have improved because of GMA's programs, and as usual, are filled with promises, this year she promised to extend the CARP or the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) initiated by her father, fixing airports to help the agriculture sector and "delete rackets out of agrarian reform". She also mentioned that if E-VAT will be removed, the poor will be deprived of numerous benefits and social programs. I'm not sure of this but militant groups are already saying that it is a lie that if E-VAT is removed, it will make the poor poorer, and they say that the subsidies that the government provides are not enough. Maybe the militants are true in saying that, maybe not, maybe GMA is lying, maybe not, but with the image of the government now, people will only think that this E-VAT goes to politicians pockets, and the longer it stays implemented, the longer the people will suffer from high prices of goods.

i believe that gloria is doing her best to improve our country, unlike the previous president, it was his charisma that do the job for him.

gloria might not be that 'maka-masa' image were looking for and behind those allegations of graft and corruptions [even if, there's any] i would still support her... corruption with improvement is way better that plain corruption just like... oh well, ERAP.

The government should minimize the E-vat but not totally remove it. I don't think all of those taxes paid from E-vat is used for pro-poor programs. President Gloria should minimize her trips instead and use the money for the programs. I think the government does not lack funds but the problem is that they set wrong priorities and spend more on those useless stuffs.
