"Four men who robbed a drugstore in Mandaluyong City on Monday were arrested after one of them did a “Robin Hood” by distributing P500 bills to his neighbors.
In English folklore, Robin Hood was an outlaw who stole from the rich and gave to the poor."
Is it true that even if money was gotten from evil deeds, it becomes pure when it is put into good use? No. Stealing, regardless how good the robbers' intentions are, is still stealing. It is a sin. Would people with conscience, who received the stolen money, still feel happy if they knew that they were the root of a crime? No. Instead, they will only feel like a burden and will only think negatively about themselves. This Robin Hood-wanna-be does nothing good to anyone. Therefore, before acting like a hero to others, think first if it will really help the people, or only make them feel bad.
Do the robbers really want to help their fellow neighbors? Or are they only giving out part of the stolen money to fool themselves that they are good people? Filipinos are really in a desperate position living below the poverty line now.

I agree!! Stealing is a sin even if the stolen thing is used to help the poor...
yea, I agree also. Even though the stealing is caused by inevitable situation, stealing is bad. If we allow the good purpose stealing, there would be a lot of stealing in the world. So it would lead us into chaos. We humanbeings have desires. But we are enduring those desires because it is not my bound. That is the law of society.
Yes, stealing is still stealing, regardless how good your intentions are. I agree.
Even though you intend to donate what you stole, it is still considered stealing. And this act is wrong. Stealing, no matter what the purpose is, is still a sin. If you say that your reason is for the benefit of others, but the act of doing it is wrong, then it is still considered wrong. Good intentions will not justify bad actions. :)
Stealing will never be a good thing despite the reason, it will always be a sin. Stealing is not the only solution to solve a problem.
Yes I agree, Even though he gave money to his neighbors to help them from their financial problems. You can't erase the fact that he stole that money. We must remember that "The end does not justify the mean". Even the church would not favor of this brotherly help because this contradicts its teachings.
A good deed will not give justice to A bad deed. If you want to do good, small deeds will give you a sense of fulfillment.
In times of difficulties, stealing should not be an alternative to earn money.
What the robbers' did was stupid. Maybe they thought by distributing the money that they would not be caught. WRONG! If they really wanted to help their neighbors, they should've just prayed for them instead of giving them dirty money.
no matter how good your intentions are, stealing is a crime and there would be no good deed done if the way is evil. it would just cancel out the act. there's no point of stealing from someone, for others you know. That is selfishness. There are plenty of legal ways where people can gain money. I just don't see the urge to steal.
doing wrong things will not result to good things.
"Thou shall not steal."
Stealing is against the Ten commandments. Even if the robber distributed the money to his neighbors, did he think about the person that he stole money from?? Sure, he helped some people, but he disobeyed God and aggravated someone.
