Another storm is on the way. Do we need to be afraid? Not! According to PAGASA and the other site made by US Army, tropical storm "Helen" will move west and go to Taiwan in a couple of days.
Don't worry about the super intense winds that hit us last July 14 because it's just...winds and a little bit of raindrops. But I hope there will still be no classes for us and we will all be happy and then again, we will thank Helen for dropping by just like Frank. No offense to the victims of MV Princess of the Stars. Blame Sulpicio Lines, not the storm.

OK i totally disagree with what said that you're hoping there would be no classes for us, cause remember when that happens it means somewhere else people are getting hurt while for us we are safe in our comfortable homes.
But no classes is still cool.
If another storm were to come, I guess we should be prepared. And the coast guards should be aware. And lets just hope for the best.
I also hope that there will be no classes!! hahaha Let's pray and hope that Helen won't harm anyone...
Others might be wondering why there are strong winds and heavy rains happening today and still PAG-ASA still did not mention or declared that it is signal#1 nor 2. It is because these strong winds and heavy rains are not caused by the typhoon alone but it is caused by the monsoon rains hitting some parts of our country. The combination of the typhoon rain and the monsoon rain combined mimics a strong force of rain which is like a typhoon passing by our country. But the question here is that why didn't PAG-ASA declared any signal warning even though the situation looks like there is a signal#2 here in NCR region?
We should not be happy if there is a storm or typhoon. Yeah we will not have our classes because it might be suspended,but how about the people that will be affected in other place? We should hope that they will not be affected and nothing bad will happen to them. We should think about others also,not only for ourselves.

Suspending classes could mean that somewhere in our country, some people are suffering from the storm. (Advantage for us, disadvantage to others)
Not suspending classes means that we have to go to school and study those boring subjects. (Disadvantage for us)

Actually, those storms give us many damages. And i also felt sorry about no classes. Even though, the storm is harmful to people, we were desiring no classes honestly.
I guess it's "Goodbye Helen!" now. At least it did not cause that much destruction, compared to typhoon Frank. Thank God. :)

i dont think you or others wish that there would be no classes whwnever a storm approaches our country. its really selfish of you to think that way because it seems like your just thinking of yourself. imagine they would only cancel classes if the storm woulb be strong and floods would develop. you should not only think of yourself but other people too. think about the people who have no home and people who live in places where it floods and landslides develop...
I agree with hello panda. We shouldn't just think about ourselves. Yes, it is cool that we won't have classes and all when strong storms hit the country. But, it is selfish of us to only see one side of the story. We should also keep in mind that there are others that are more affected by these typhoons or storms. There are others who don't even have houses to keep them safe and shelter them from the rain.
Then again, at least this time Helen did not cause that much damage to the country, compared to typhoon Frank. :)
im actually quite thankful that it didn't hit us that much. I've already experienced 2 storms that killed many people, and trust me its not good. lol. It was typhoon Milenyo and Reming Bicol was dead. haha.i guess i'll have to find another source of "no classes". lol
lets all just be happy that there were no casualties, and there were NO CLASSES :p

Typhoons sould stop one on a while, because a lot of people are affected. They can' totally be stopped, because we wouldn't have any water. Let's just hope that people would be able to bear with the weather, especially this rainy and stormy season :D
