My views:
First of all I think that the Catholic church should really consider what is going on with our population because in my point of view if the number of Filipinos just keeps on increasing in the end our country would be the one too suffer due to starvation(cause as we can see now we don't even have enough rice what more in the future).
Gov’t invites Catholic church to work on population policy
‘Swelling population threatening dev’t’
MANILA, Philippines -- Saying the country's swelling population is threatening development programs, MalacaƱang on Monday called on the Catholic church to work with government in crafting a more responsive population policy for the country.
"Present realities require us to seriously consider the population impact on our economy and development programs," Palace deputy spokesperson Lorelei Fajardo said in a statement that stressed the need for the government and church to act on the problem together.
Recognizing the Philippines as a predominantly Catholic country, Fajardo said the government considers the church’s views an "important consideration" in formulating policy or crafting a law.
"The church must work together with us to reach better understanding and harmony on the population issue," she added.
Instead of exchanging barbs, Fajardo said Catholic bishops and lawmakers should sit down and reach an agreement on the salient points of the reproductive health bill. She said Albay Representative Edcel Lagman, the bill's main author in the House, has made it clear his proposed measure is pro-life and does not promote abortion.
In a separate statement, Palace deputy spokesman Anthony Golez said President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will stick to her population policy, which is based on the four pillars of respect for life, informed consent, responsible parenting, and birth spacing.
Over the weekend, Ozamiz Archbishop Jesus Dosado issued a pastoral letter saying that Catholic politicians who push for abortion should not be allowed to receive Holy Communion because they are “in a situation of sin.”
Dosado's pastoral letter came days after the CBCP said it was alarmed by "anti-life" bills in the House of Representatives.
Last week, Arroyo met with several bishops to hear out their position on the reproductive health bill and asked the congressmen to meet with the prelates to explain their stance on the measure.
With Filipinos now numbering almost 90 million and counting, education and health experts have warned that government's ability to provide the basic needs of the population would be stretched thin.

It's the fault of the ones who created the situation in the first place.
First of all, the people are the ones who are making this problem because they don't have the discipline to think first before making a child into this world. Another thing, the government is also responsible because of all the corruption they did, the poor are increasing. Because of this, the people are driven to make children.
