Japanese ship with 18 Filipinos and 5 Koreans on board hijacked by Somali pirates

The 20,000-ton Janpanese ship "Chemstar Venus", was hijacked by armed Somali pirates over the weekend in the Gulf of Aden, along with its 23 crew members among them are 18 Filipinos and 5 Koreans. According to the International Maritime Bureau, at least 83 ships have been attacked off Somalia since January, of which 33 were hijacked. Of those, 12 vessels and more than 200 crew were still in the hands of pirates.
I am so angry and sad to hear this again. This hijacking event always happens in the Somalia region. As I know, this happened to Koreans so many times and they were together with the pirates for 150 days. The government of Korea was not able to react and negotiate well. The pirates in Somalia did this for money and goods. The world should show concern about this problem since it always happens.

According to recent news from Korea, they are now fine and negotiations are going well. I hope that the Filipinos are going to be fine too.
