Petron, Shell cut LPG price by P1.50 per kilo

In the article, Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation have apparently lowered the selling price of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) or cooking gas by P1.50 per kilo or P16.50 per 11-kg cylinder. It followed the recent drop in international prices. The price of Auto LPG which is used by taxis as a much cheaper alternative, also went down. These rollback in LPG prices comes after a cut in diesel and gasoline prices by P1 and kerosene by 50 centavos just a day before. This is said to be the second rollback in LPG prices for the month of August. The sudden decrease in local oil prices is due to the decrease of international oil prices as well. This is said to be because of the evident slowdown in consumer spending due to rapid inflation, especially on oil prices all over the world. The rapid oil price inflation led to price increases for all commodities, like food. These makes people's lives more difficult especially for the poor. Because of this, the poverty in the country continues to increase.

I am glad that finally, after a long period of continuous increases in oil prices, they are starting to go down. Oil prices now are just too much and are no longer affordable. It is simply insane and not right. People should not pay this much for gas. This problem should be dealt with immediately. We cannot simply allow this to happen to us and to the world. Every single person is affected by this phenomenon. Not only we Filipinos are having a hard time.

I hope that oil prices continue to decrease and stop going higher. This is the best for everyone:)

Yes! Good news at last! I hope that the prices of oil would go down and down and down and down and down and down again. Then the prices of everything in the market would go down too!

yeah oil prices are going lower but it will never be as low as before ita all becasue of the law of supply and demand. The lower the supply the higher the price and if there is no new oil source found those prices will go up again
