MANILA, Philippines -- An Abu Sayyaf member who carries a P2-million bounty for his capture was arrested by Marines in the island province of Basilan, a military spokesman announced on Thursday.
The suspect, Usman Asari Aldani, an alleged henchman of the late Abu Sayyaf chieftain Khadaffy Janjalani, and of extremist leader Isnilon Hapilon, was collared at a market in downtown Isabela City last Monday, said Navy spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Edgard Arevalo.
A lone tipster who led authorities to the suspect will receive the P2-million reward, Arevalo said in a phone interview.
Aldani has a standing arrest warrant for kidnapping. He will be brought to the Naval Forces Western Mindanao headquarters in Zamboanga City, Arevalo said.

Thank goodness that a person of such atrocities has been captured. A lot of lives may have been saved from this act.
this is such a good news, this may prevent a lot of damage these people may do.
Its a great news!
Thank God the wanted guy got caught. The Abu Sayyaf should realize that what they fight for is nonsense, we are all binded through one mother... Philippines. I pray to God that they realize this quickly so that peace would reign in this country. We Christians must too, in a way remove our bad perception about muslims and instead show our muslim brothers that we understand them.
Wow its good news that a terrorist has been taken in by the military. i just wished that i was the one who caught him so i could have had the 2 million pesos. Boy i can only imagine what i would do with that amount of money.
