the "Fever" is back...

Source: http://www.philstar.com/index.php?Nation&p=49&type=2&sec=28

Here it is again, the dengue fever. Well, yeah, it's the same old story wherein many people, primarily children are suffering and dying from this disease. Every rainy season, we expect that cases such as this would arise and the governement, the DOH in that case, will implement projects such as fumigation in specific areas.

I'm in favor of that project of the DOH because in one way or another, they are decreasing the possibility of civilians acquiring the disease. Civilians, on the other hand shouldn't only depend on the projects implemented by the government. Rather, they should also make sure that their surroundings are clean so they wouldn't inherit the disease.

We can never really get rid of dengue fever, but there is a way to lessen the possibility of acquirng it.

I agree that simple projects aren't enough to prevent the spread of dengue fever. The people should do their part as well.

Throw away stagnant water that hasn't been touched in a while. Make sure your window screens are in good condition. Apply repellant when going to far away places. These are just a few ways you can help support the movement against dengue fever.

It is true that we will never get rid of dengue fever. It is good that DOH is doing something about this but we should do our part as well.

I know there is chemical that can kill mosquitos but it is not really effective becuase prevention is the best medicine right? So stand up and clean your house and ask your neighbors to do the same.

Having dengue is so dangerous. Many people already died because of it. Dengue disease really spreads a lot especially in raining seasons. We should be aware of our cleanliness to prevent having it. We should not risk our own lives so better prevent than to suffer. Use off lotion! :)

Without a doubt there will be people dying from dengue but we must lessen it thru keeping our surrounding clean.

disiplina at kooperasyon lang ang kailangan para malabanan natin ang nakamamatay na sakit.

Yup.. Dengue is always there, specially during rainy seasons.. It's great that our government has projects and TV advertisements to warn the people and inform them of the possible signs of dengue.. This could at least lessen the victims of this deadly fever, but just like what you said, these are not enough to keep us safe. We must make sure that our house is clean and free from any possible places where mosquitoes could lay their eggs, and as much as possible, let's try to wear something that could cover our legs and arms because that's where they usually bite.. Remember that it's better to be safe than sorry.. :)

Education about the prevention of dengue has always been present yet some are not cooperating. The projects of DOH are not enough to stop this deadly communicable disease. We should do our part as well.

While its the government's job to implement projects like this, I think its as much our responsibility to prevent/avoid the spread of dengue by doing our part in keeping their population levels low.
