ALCOHOL HARMFUL THAN POT

According to Dr. Mitch Earleywine, a University of Southern California psychologist who is the author of "Understanding Marijuana: A New Look at the Scientific Evidence" and the just published "Mind-Altering Drugs: The Science of Subjective Experience." The evidence is clear marijuana has no lethal dose, so you can't die from it. and so you can smoke all you want and not be knocked out like alcohol does. The impact on the brain structure for marijuana is nil, as compare to the very serious brain function changes from alcohol abuse. Also, more dramatic liver functions are impaired with alcohol. Malnutrition, B-vitamin deficiency, and Korsakoff's Disorder are all linked to alcohol, but not marijuana."

Its far safer to smoke a joint than to have a beer. It relieves the stress and tension after a hard days work or school. It mellows you out and helps you relax. It heightens the imagination and improves creativity. If you have a problem with anger, Pot is usually a good drug to reduce it. Marijuana has many medical benefits. It helps reduce problems with glaucoma. If you have cancer, it reduces nausea from chemotherapy. I had a friend who died of cancer. His doctor suggested Pot even though it wasn't legal. It allowed him to eat food again. This was three weeks before he died. I think the Pot gave him another week of quality life.

This is interesting. If the facts are true. Then legalization of marijuana should be taken into consideration. Imagine not having to go to Amsterdam just to induce your body of all the legal dope you like, but just making it readily available to the local sari-sari store. I still can't picture it in my mind.

the facts are true there are lots of many other facts about this topic, you shoudl try to research. IF alcohol is legal, then yes, marijuana should be legalized.

isn't marijuana already legal, although prescription is needed in order to get it legally. i think it cures like back pains and stuff, kind of like a pain killer. but then too much of it would definitely be something else. so in my opinion, i thinks it's just right that it isn't legal yet. too much of something is just as bad as what they say. so it is cool to know that being a pot head is less dangerous that being an alcoholic. :)

too much of ANYTHING is bad, hell, even too much of water and food is bad., i know for a fact that too much of alcohol is very bad so why is alcohol legal again?

Yes indeed Marijuana medically speaking is not harmful, but there is a reason to why it is illegal. It cannot be legalized even though it will be subjected to regulations due to his its addictive nature. It is said that Marijuana physically does not cause harm to us, but during the time we are "high" certain actions can be done with no qualms because of being "high". In addition is has been known to be a gateway to other drugs, which are not only illegal but also very harmful and can be lethal. It has been a age old controvery whether marijuana should be legalized like it has in parts of western Europe, but i still believe greed is a characteristics of human and thus we can never truly prevent ourselves from addictive things.
