Thousands of domestic passengers were affected on Monday when Cebu Pacific Airlines delayed some of it's flight at the newly opened Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA-3). Affected flights were those from Manila to the cities of Cebu, Roxas, and Tacloban, two flights to Cagayan province were also affected. The delay lasted from five to ten hours, irking many passengers. Cebu Pacific Airlines explained that the delay was due to bad weather, the extended maintenance of two of it's aircrafts, and the operational adjustments of NAIA-3. They also sincerely ask apologized from passengers for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank passengers for their patience and understanding.

It's bad to keep people waiting but if it's for their good, why not?!?! the weather was really bad this past few weeks, it kept on raining hard so the weather is a good excuse or reason for them to delay the flights.. it's better to be safe than sorry.. but aside from this, the other reasons are not really acceptable.. It's good that NAIA apologized and recognized their mistakes, next time, they should be sure that the planes are in good condition so as not to disturb many people..
Just last sunday my flight was delayed because of the new opening of the airport. It's really frustrating to wait for our flight. it was actually delayed for 3 hours. I think that the weather had something to do with the delay but the main reason is that the new airport isn't really finished yet! i mean, its good that it is already being used but i think they should have waited for it to be finished before it was used. I think the deadline for the airport was august 1 and since they did not finish on that date, the decided to continue with the transfer of flights which caused air traffic. As i observed last sunday, i think there were only two open arrival areas. This could have caused the massive delay of schedule today that lasted up to ten hours. wow! o.O
I think that somehow, NAIA was just doing safety measures that's why they delayed the flight and the rest are just sub-reasons for the delay. I think that they are just thinking of the safety of the people and that they wouldn't want to risk anything. But it is somehow disappointing that even if they were given utmost time to make this terminal a better one, it seems that they rushed it and caused much defects that are now pestering travelers.
yea.. nowaday it rains so hard. No wonder it affect to flight. I also hate delay of flight. It messes up our restless heart.
Its good to know that they already opened the new terminal. The bad thing is that NAIA 3 is very fair from the air strip and it will take time for the plane to taxi going to the strip. In turn, it is expected that there will be traffic when landing and flying. Also, cebu pacific's promos are indeed very low and when people pay for low prices of air fees, expect low quality of service also. All things have a catch. If it is cheap then, expect poor service or hectic schedules. What i've also heard is that some of the Cebu pacific's plane are not up to date and in effect some of these planes will have problems. What I would want to suggest is that the NAIA 3 should first run a simulator and simulate the traffic of the planes and test the equipment first before doing the actual process of letting the planes fly and letting the passengers enter their terminal.
Delays are always better than accidents. Such is the case of MV Princess of the Stars, it traveled in bad weather and look where it is now, still waiting for salvage. Passengers will just have to wait, its for their own good anyway.
bad manangement..that's all i can say .
I have used the Cebu Pacific Airline before. Its often delayed. Every my friends, experienced delayed schedule and they are always complain for the delayed schedule. but it is not still changing. Even it was delayed for five to ten hours.
Even though the weather is not good, 5 to 10 hours is too much!
How can I imagine the people who was waiting for the airplane.
How terrible it is!
I hope it will never happened next time. so that, no one will suffer damage.
aw.. bad weather huh? these storms just won't stop. but come to think of it, the rain DOES help grow our rice right? so that's still a good thing one way or the other.
