Bayni Fernando warnd DPWH to not tear down his posters. He told them that his posters do not bring danger or peril to lives of other people. He also told them that his posters just give good messages for the citizens of the Philippines.
Since there are rumors that he is running for presidency this 2010 elections, people are saying that this posters are part of his early campaign for precidency.
In response to the tearing of his posters, he told the DPWH's office director Emmanuel Cuntapay, to bring down commercial billboards instead of his posters. Cuntapay was appauled and told Bayani to bring down his posters because it might endanger the lives of motorists and pedestrians.

Sa aking opinyon lamang, sa tingin ko ay dapat tanggalin ang kanyang mga poster sa mga daan, dahil ako mismo ay naiistorbo kapag nakikita ko ang kanyang poster sa kalagitnaan ng EDSA kung saan sumama pa siya sa sangkatutak na billboard doon. Bakit niya gustong ipatanggal ang mga ibang advertisements, pero gusto niyang panatiliin ang kanya? Mayroon kayang ibig sabihin si "Chairman" doon?
hay nako. here's BF again trying to get so much attention. its so evident that he's trying to get an early start in the 2010 elections. anyway, regarding the posters, why tear down the commercial ads when his face is plastered everywhere?

BF running for presidency is confirmed, he is probably the only politician who has been quite vocal about his intention to run in the coming 2010 elections. As to his posters not causing harm to pedestrians and motorists, this is quite accurate in the sense that they do not cause "physical" harm as compared to billboards which are more distracting and are potential dangers when there typhoons. However, BF's intentions are not purely clean and this is the issue here. He is using public funds to forward his political ambitions.
his face is seen in every part of manila..corruption is truly present here..and i bet he will never admit what the real reason why he doesn't want DPWH to tear down his ads..
I find it funny to see him using his position as MMDA chairman to spread his popularity and campaign for the 2010 elections which is the apparent purpose of those posters. Better if he just kept the money and used it to something more worthwhile, like cleaning our streets.
*ahem, ahem* Do I hear campaign bells ringing? Definitely. This is just him wanting to step up his game for the upcoming elections. Just as what any other official would do. Just like road widenings or renovations, they do it only now when they want to be known.

sabihin na nga nating may magandang ipinararating ang mga posters niya, pero dapat pa bang ilagay ang mukha niya doon?? sa aking pagkakaalam, hindi galing sa bulsa niya ang ginamit kaya kung may dapat siyang iparating, ipaalala o ano man, huwag na niyang isama ng mukha niya..parang ginagamit na rin niya ang pondo para sa sariling kapakinabangan..
