I think increasing the tricycle fare is appropriate because of the high cost of gasoline these days, whatever goes up must follow as well. So this isn't something that I think is a big of a deal. It was eventually going to happen and the price is actually still reasonable considering some of the tricycle fares at other places such as Pasay being 20 pesos for the starting rate. The tricycle fare is very sufficient for me and would help the economy even in small ways. I just think that we shouldn't have so many tricycles since bikes are the number one pollutants in the Philippines believe it or not.
I only hope that the fare of taxi would not be determined. I usually use taxi!!. But, in the other hand, I also can understand this situation. The oil price has been increasing and the car fare is same as 3 years ago.
sa tingin ko. pati yung mga tricycle driver sa ibang lugar ay magtataas na rin ng pasahe. Pati yung mga taxi, jeep and bus tingin ko tataas na rin dahil sa pagtaas ng gasolina.
Hey lee, jaehyun, you're rich. Lol. This is just an effect of the oil-price-hikes that the oil companies declare. I was already expecting this because I heard that the oil prices in the world market are going up again, but this week I heard it went down. Maybe they would reduce the fare again, but I think they wouldn't.
The increase in the price of gasoline is quite bad, because people who commute to their different destinations would be affected. But this is a must, because gas is still increasing and the drivers have to pay for it. I hope that the prices of gasoline would go down, so less people would be affected.
It is understandable for the different sectors of the transportation industry to implement the approved increase in fares. This is mainly because of the continued increase in the fuel prices. Think about it. How will they survive if they do not increase their fares?
You also have to consider that they are like us. They also have families they need to help and support. That's why they're working. They want to earn enough money to meet the daily needs of their family.
As always, nothing's new! People should really expect this after the continuous increase of the price of oil. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that this won't be the last time this would happen.. In the years (or days) to come, oil would still increase.. causing fares and other commodities to also increase.. Of course this can't be prevented, but it is possible to at least lessen it, in this case, all we can do is to lessen our expenses, and hope that our government does its job.
We all know that the cause of this is the increasing price of gas. Thats why more people are riding the MRT & LRT than ever before. I hope that the government will introduce alternative fuels or else, the fares will keep higher and higher that no one can afford to buy gasoline.
it is fair that the tricycle drivers to increase their fare. oil prices are way way up!!
Since the prices of oil keeps on increasing, this news is not so surprising anymore. i think a lot of people are expecting it. hahaha
Bad news for the passengers but we cannot blame them because the prices of our basic commodities are also increasing so they need to increase the fare to make both ends meet and their expenses also increases.
grbe nag tricycle lng ako knina dumagdag na nf p5! kakainis pti nung nagtaxi ako dagdag nman p10! nu byan arghhh
Let's put into consideration that we are living in a deteriorating society and economy. They have every right to increase their income. Increasing the tricycle fare is good for the tricycle drivers but not so good for passengers.
Now we all see the effects of the incease of the price of oil. It's just sad that some can't even afford a tricycle ride since the increase of the fare. But there's nothing we can do, the tricycle drivers must provide for their family.
I agree with the raise in the fare. we don't know how hard it is to earn a living by their means. so it is only right that they raise their fees.
who cares. the best parin south. haha trike samin 40pesos cge nga beat that haha
It's not their fault, Oil Prices have been gradually increasing lately, drivers have lives too. that is their job and they have to adjust so that they can have money. i just wish that the oil prices would drop. hehe
Once again, this is nothing new. The price of everything around us is rising! This saddens a lot of Filipinos. Expecting that they get to save more money by riding tricycles could save their loves (money), they'll just have false hope. If you think about it, Taking the MRT/LRT makes us save more money, an air conditioned means of transportation and it even gets to farther places. With this, the usual tricycle passengers will choose the alternatives.
Kahit na tumaas ng Php 1.50 ang presyo ng pamasahe ng trisikel sa QC, mas mataas pa rin ang singil sa Maynila, na hindi ata bababa sa Php 20 ang singil kada pasada ang isang tao....
I think that the tricycle fare should be increased. It is very understandable and reasonable why they had to do this. The price of the oil has been increasing rapidly and if they do not increase their fare then they will lose money and it will be unfair on their part.
The ordinance (SP-1842) posted inside tricyles do not have a effectivity date therefore it is void. Having said that, however, the fare increase is justified but the fare indicated in the ordinance is very confusing. The ordinance states that P7.50 per pax for a regular trip and a minimum fare of P16 for a special trip. I live in Frisco, Q.C. and I take the tricycles of Friscotoda which services our Barangay (Del Monte). When I ride a Friscotoda trike going to their terminal from our house, I am charged P7.50. But when I take a ride from their terminal to our house, I am charged P16 because the driver says it is a special trip which should be the case because a trip from their terminal to our house is a REGULAR TRIP, not a special trip. In this regard, I always contest this overcharging with the drivers who do not seems to understand the ordinance. A SPECIAL TRIP is when they go out of their franchise area, meaning the trip requires going to a neighboring barangay like going to our parish church which is located in another barangay. P1 may be a small amount but I am talking of principle. Who knows the total amount they get from overcharging in a day?
the oil prices today is very high and it is just fair if they increase in their fare
tricycle is also important transportation to the people. it is good to use for the short distance.
i only think about the taxi.. but the other transportation could be the problem.
every happening is caused by the increasing of the oil price!
anyways, the drivers also have to be having their right.
It's actually ok for me to pay more to the tricycle driver. Because when i ride tricycle, i just don't know how can they survive in every day life just by receiving that little amount of six pesos. I believe this fare increase is justifiable and acceptable.
