You know what to do.
-----------
MANILA, Philippines - Three oil companies on Friday announced they would raise pump prices early Saturday, radio DZBB reported Friday night.
Again!? When will this stop? This will continue to rise and rise until it gets too ridiculous to purchase oil any more. Eventually, no highway will have a car going along it, not even EDSA.
When the price of oil starts to get too ridiculous, people will resort to the MRT/LRT. Keep in mind, the jeeps, buses, and taxis all require oil as well. Because the price of oil will be too much to bear, they will no longer continue the service. The MRT/LRT will be overcrowded, as if it isn't already. People will no longer be able to arrive anywhere on time.
The solution is to either resort to non-motorized modes of transportation (bicycle), or to expand and create more space for the MRT/LRT. Seeing as Filipinos are too lazy to ride a bike to work/school, and the MRT/LRT will ALWAYS be crowded, business as a whole in the Philippines will plummet until it becomes nearly nonexistent.
Comment please. Thanks.

I hope there will be a way to lessen the price of oil! As a student, riding lrt is one convenient way to arrive in school as soon as possible, there's no traffic that can waste your time. Other people choose to ride cars but as the price of oil rises, they also would want to ride lrt because it is way much cheaper. However, as a result, it will be more crowded in the lrt and mrt, yeah.. as always.. and even more! Help!
MRT/LRT is indeed a convenient way of going to school. However, sometimes both of them are too crowded, using a taxi is a better (and more expensive) way of arriving on time.
Anything that will decrease the price of oil (legally) is good news. But, the current trend in oil prices has been increase, increase, and increase even more. I doubt the prices will decrease anytime soon.
it's really disturbing that oil prices keep on increasing every week. i just hope that it won't go to the point that no car will be seen in edsa.
i think a probable solution to this problem is to remove the vat in oil prices.
Using the public transportations can save money and gas. The problem is some public transportation aren't happy about the oil price getting higher which leads them to RALLYING around the city asking to lower down the price right?
The price of oil will continue to rise up until...we don't know. Although there are other alternatives in transportation like the MRT or LRT, which offers a faster way of travelling, other people still tend to ride the jeepneys, buses, or just drive their own cars. The choice primarily depends on the perspective of the person. This is another challenge for the Philippines. How will it be able to cope up with situations like this? Only time can tell.
There are some benefits if we use the public transportations like less cars, less traffic right? Less traffic, less wasted time ^^
it all depends on what is convenient for each of us, so we can't dictate what is better for who. but, we also have to think about our responsibilities as a citizen.
This shows that we need to find alternatives to run vehicles aside from gasoline and diesel. We should promote solar cars or vehicles that can run with water used as its "fuel"...(pwede ba iyon?)
The oil price hike is really disturbing. But then again, it has a positive effect on us, though it is hidden.
High prices of oil leads to less cars in the streets. Cars produce smoke, thus pollution. So, if cars are lessened, we contribute to lessen the air pollution in world, not just in our country.
I'm sure the oil prices will keep increasing if we keep abusing it. We do many things like using our cars to very short trips when we can resort to just walking or taking a bicycle. It's very sad how that many people are lazy and it's actually a great way to exercise and won't even feel like it if you walk or take a bicycle. I also think we should make an underground railway. I mean it would be so much easier to get around if there were underground railways and not just have the MRT and LRT, we should have more and more, even stretching to the southern part of Luzon such as Alabang and Laguna. It will be better if we have more modes of transportation and I really do think we are limited to what we have for a few years but we should see to it that some new transportation will help us with our daily struggles.
if the prices of oil continues to be a burden to you, then let it be the signal for you to start conserving and go green. you have a lot of ways of doing it, converting you vehicles into LPGs... taking the public transpo and stuffs, will help you eliminate or lessen your financial burdens.

if one is not able to afford paying the price of gas, then one should use public transportation as a way to save money and also in a way helping our environment to be greener.
the oil prices today is really a problem, i remembered few years ago that the prices of the oil is only 18 pesos but now it is way up.
