Good news to NLEX users!

NLEX to lower toll rates

While almost all of the basic goods and commodities in the market are rising up their prices because of the occasional increase of gasoline charge, here is good news. The North Luzon Expressway will be charging a lower toll rate starting Monday night until the end of 2010. By lowing the rates, the goods that will be delivered to the North may become a little less expensive since the transportation expense of shipping the goods have already been lessened.

I think that they made the right decision here since they do not spend the amount that they have collected on sensible projects. The expenses that they only pay are the electricity, salaries of their employees, development of the streets and the large amounts goes to somewhere unknown. Aside from the toll fee, the government also provides them budget for the improvement of the streets. Even though they will shed off P20.00 at most on toll fee, they are still charging the passers too much for such small expenses.

But still, this is better than not lowering the prices at all.

It is good that NLEX will be charging a lower toll rate. In my opinion, they should have done this a long time ago. Because I don't see any improvements in NLEX. So it makes me wonder where the collected toll fees are being used.

NLEX, even in the past, has given a lot of people a hand in their transportation of goods and their excursions throughout the northern parts of Luzon. With this need of the people, it is good that the toll fees were lowered, because more people would be using this facility. Moreover, before they lowered the prices, many people complained about the sudden rise of the toll fee, which was because of the major construction a few years ago and the maintenance of NLEX. But its again a good thing that they thought of lowering the prices, because as more people would now be using NLEX, they will be able to still get their desired amount of money. Lastly, if this would have been made in an earlier period, people lives would have been much easier when traveling from one area to another.

This is a really good news for the people who use NLEX. This is really encouragement for the the Filipinos and especially for the companies who use NLEX to transport goods. It is nice to know that inspite of the dilemma that we are having with the increase of gas prices, there are institutions who do something to enlighten us in terms of crisis like this.

Hindi ako dumadaan sa NLEX, pero buti na lang na bumaba ang toll dito. Maraming tao ang matutuwa sa balita na ito.

This advantage will be of great help to motorists and the people on the road! With he increase in oil price, this will help us in our crisis. That's one down! Considering that construction in NLEX had been done and more improvements are still on going, this is really beneficial to the people travelling and going to the north! Double benefits!

This is definitely good for the NLEX users! Especially the ones who have businesses and deliver goods in areas up north. But then I only use the SLEX so it doesn't really affect me much. So, I think this should also be done in the SLEX. I use carpool everyday to school and some of my friends who drive get their money for toll in their allowance if they don't have e-pass. I pity them. TOLL SHOULD BE LESSENED IN THE SLEX TOO!

Good news nga ito, pero bat hangang 2010 lang? dapat lagi na, pero maganda nga naman ang pagkakaayos ngayon ng NLEX, sana ay mas mababaan pa nila ang rates nila. pero good job ang nagawa nila sa NLEX

i am happy to hear that NLEX will lower its toll rates but they should have done it a long time ago. but i dont blame them for charging a high toll rates because they have made new improvements on the highway such toll booths and widening of the highway.
